LPTz version 3.0 November 3, 1990 by James P. Morgan 5226 Via Hacienda #115 Orlando FL, 32809 U.S.A. Description of enhancements and bug fixes ----------------------------------------- 1). This is the first release since version 1.0. Version 2.0 was never released. 2). Dynamic buffers. Each re-directed printers buffer may be dynamically changed. In otherwords, you may start off with the default 4k buffer for LPT1 and change to 32k, then change back to 8k (or 0 to disable printer). We dont know of any similar product that allows this. Memory MUST be available to allow this. Going from a large buffer to smaller should be NO problem, but getting memory when going from a small buffer to large WILL be dependant on the current application that is running (if its freed all memory it dosnt need). 3). POP-UP over graphics mode applications (in their mode). If allowed , LPTz will pop-up over current graphics applications, in the current graphics mode. This is NO small feat. We have seen no other products that do what we do, that allow you to pop-up over graphics apps. This is our FIRST attempt at graphics (even though we have an original IBM PC with 1982 BIOS). We dont have ALL the answers for LPTz in this release, BUT released it hoping for feedback (constructive). See the '-G' option in the documentation. Graphics modes for CGA/EGA/VGA are supported. Hercules is not. If you have feedback, please use the 'comments' form in the doc. Enjoy.. JP and Family.
