V I R T U A L T E X A S I N S T R U M E N T S T I - 8 5 version 0.5 by Synapse/Mindprobe (Synapse@triplex.fipnet.fi) Z80 emulator code by Marat Fayzullin, PMODE/W by Tran&Daredevil -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the first release. Special features: -lcd-grayscale emulation (try grayscale programs!) -link port emulation without cable (easy to send files from pc) -link port speaker -8 virtual consoles (total of 8*32KB=256KB of RAM) -no need for Alpha key (except in some games ;-)) -ZShell 4.0 installed Special keys: [Alt+F4] Quit to dos, all consoles are saved to Backup.bin file [Alt+Right Shift] Change between consoles [Alt+Ctrl] Turn on/off link port speaker [Alt+PageUp] Send files direct from pc to TI-85 console. (put first your TI-85 console in Recv-mode). All files but memory backups (.85B) are supported. [Alt+PageDown] Receive files from TI-85 console. Output file non-standard and always the same "report.dat". (Look ti-85 link protocol information,if you want to understand this file, even this emulator doesn't support this file format!) Known bugs, limitations and special information: -all files are received to report.dat file with all link protocol messages -sending and receiving memory backups doesn't work (that's the reason why ZShell is installed) -all consoles are always saved (copy to another name backup.bin if you want to save it) -no real link port emulation with cable -grayscale emulation is NOT perfect -no hardware reset for one console. Reset all consoles by deleting Backup.bin. -no copy command for consoles -Backup.bin file format is compatible with TI-85 emulator, except it has 8 TI-85 state images one after the other -no speed control/limit (e.g. samples will be played too fast without 486) -press Scroll Lock if keys don't work (calculator is in sleep mode) -use Caps Lock instead of Alpha button to switch between lower- and uppercase
