MagicMOD © 1995 by David C. May. All Rights Reserved. ---------------------------------------------------------- MagicMOD plays a ST/NT/PT MOD using the PTReplay.library by Mattias Karlsson. For this reason, you must move the PTREPLAY.LIBRARY file to LIBS: before attempting to run MagicMOD. Once it is started, a window opens with five gadgets to control the playback of the MOD: Load Mod (disk) Opens an ASL file requester to load a new MOD. In jukebox mode, selects a new MOD from the MOD path at random. Restart |< Stops a MOD and returns its play position to the beginning. Allows other MagicMOD and MOD players to use the audio channels. Pause [] Stops a MOD at its current position. Play -> Begins playing a MOD or continues play of a MOD from its current position. Rewind << Moves play position back one pattern. Fast Forward >> Moves play position forward one pattern. Close the window to exit. When run as a Workbench tool, MagicMOD will play one selected project icon. This can be done by clicking the MagicMOD icon, holding shift, and double-clicking on a MOD's project icon. You can also set the default tool of the MOD's project icon to MagicMOD's pathname, then double-clicking on the icon. If you double-click only on the MagicMOD icon, an ASL file requester will appear, prompting you for a MOD's pathname. Tooltypes read when run as a Workbench tool: FULLPLAY - Play once, no loop, fewer control buttons. SCREEN= - Open on public screen . MINIMIZE - Open as titlebar window. MODPATH= - Default MOD path (for ASL req.) JUKEBOX - Play random MODs from the MOD path. Overrides MOD selection. To run MagicMOD from the Shell, type: MagicMOD [] [FULLPLAY] [SCREEN PubScreenName] [MINIMIZE] [MODPATH ] [JUKEBOX] [?] - If specified, MagicMOD will play the MOD. If not specified, an ASL file requester will prompt you for a MOD's pathname, using the optional MODPATH parameter as the default path. FULLPLAY - If specified, the MOD will be played through once and will not loop. Also, the MagicMOD window will open with no load gadget. This option is useful if you have a directory with several MODs, for which you may type: execute spat MagicMOD FULLPLAY and have each MOD that matches the pattern played. SCREEN - If used, the MagicMOD window will open on the public screen given. MINIMIZE - If used, the window opened will be the size of its title bar. MODPATH - Use this to specify a MOD path when no MOD is given or the MOD given cannot load. (for ASL req.) JUKEBOX - Plays MODs from the MOD path at random. The disk icon then selects new MODs at random. Overrides MOD selection. ? - Displays the command template for MagicMOD.
