From: gunde@alkymi.unit.no (Martin H|y) Hi all :) Here is my first program in SYS-RPL, a Timetable..... (You know the kind of table that tells where you should have been at school, not sitting here reading this :) I didn't find any timetable-programs around, or at the GD's, so I thought I better make my own. And, here it is! The program was written on PC and tested on a HP48SX-J, but for you G/GX-users out there, don't cry: It also works on the G/GX. (At least the "beta-ver" worked on my friends GX) Most of the instruction for the program is in the ABOUT-variable in the dir, but here is some more: The uuencoded file below contains a directory with the following variables: TIMETABL: The main program. Hit this button to run the timetable. ABOUT: Contains how-to-use-instructions. Hit this button and READ ALL OF IT BEFORE YOU START EXPERIMENTING!!! PLAN : Contains the physical timetable, with names of all the lessons... HOUR: Contains the starting-time of all your lessons... DAYS: Contains the name of the days that appear at the menu-buttons. CHK: AN IMPORTANT VARIABLE, which checks that PLAN, HOUR and DAYS are correct, so that TIMETABL will not cause ClearMem.... If you edit any of PLAN, HOUR or DAYS, (I guess you will have to, if you don't have the same lessons that I have :) run this program before you run TIMETABL, to ensure that everything will work. This way you hopefully won't get a ClearMem. Of course, as always, I cannot guaranty anything. You can specify as many lessons per. day as you want, but not less than 3. If the number of lessons per. day is bigger than 7, you will have to use the arrow-buttons to scroll down the display. One push at the button jumps up/down to the top/bottom of the display, so actually, if you have more than 14 lessons per. day, you will not be able to see the ones at the middle..... But after all, your day isn't longer than 24 hours, so there is a limit round here somewhere.... HOW TO GET THIS PROGRAM TO WORK ON MY HP? Download this file, and run 'uuconvert' on it. You now have a binary file named 'timetabl.dir' (size 5764) that you can download directly to the HP. Just remember that since this file now is binary, you will have to use binary transfer with both FTP and KERMIT->HP. Finally, I'm sorry for any problems with understanding my english, I'm not very good at it.... Please bare with me. IMPORTANT: Don't be afraid to mail me for questions or comments: no question is too stupid and no comment is too short.... ******************************************************************************* * * * * * * * Email me at: * Large cats can be dangerous, * * gunde@alkymi.unit.no * but a little pussy never hurt anyone. * * * * * Beware of Dog! * * * * * ******************************************************************************* #############' ############### #########' /// ########### ######' /// ######## ##### /// ####### I LOVE MY #### /////// /////// ###### ^^^^ #### /// /// /// /// ###### (But I don't #### /// /// /// /// ###### actually have ##### /// /// /////// ####### sex with it) ###### /// ######## ######### /// ########### #############, /// ,###############
