*************************************************************************** FASTD version 1.0 - fast directory listing utility for SX/GX *************************************************************************** The following utility rapidly lists the contents of the current working directory. Useful information such as variable name, variable type, variable size, total variables in current directory and total number of bytes used by the current directory are given in a tabular format. Long directory listings can be rapidly scrolled back and forth. The speed of this application is accomplished through the use of assembly language. I. INSTRUCTIONS 1. Download FASTD to your hp48 using your favorite transfer method. If you use Kermit, make sure binary mode is set. (Personally, I use PC-HP fast which is the best transfer program available IMHO.) 2. Press FASTD. II. KEY DEFINITIONS Only three keys function when you are running FASTD. Up-Arrow - scroll display down Down-Arrow - scroll display up [ON] - exit FASTD III. CREDITS I would like to thank John Call for teaching me the basics of Saturn assembly. Without his help, I would not be writing programs like FASTD. Valuable tips and information were obtained from IRC #hp48 from the following people: Mika Heiskanen (fin), Will Laughlin (sj), Richard Steventon (RichardS), and Dan Kirkland (krik). Thanks to Mario Mikocevic (mozz) for letting me use his 4x6 small font. The following have sacrificed their calculators for testing: Al Arduengo (exal), Alex Humffray (bunch), David Goggin Seth Arnold (Hideki), Andre Schoorl (mocha), and many others. IV.
