PLAY - Digi-sound player v1.0 From: lv@muffel.hotb.sub.org (Lutz Vieweg) Newsgroups: comp.sources.hp48 Date: 23 Sep 91 03:24:25 GMT [NB: REQUIRES 'RFU'. IF YOU DON'T KEEP 'RFU' IN YOUR HOME DIRECTORY, SEE 'RF.DOC' ON GOODIES DISK #5 TO SEE WHY YOU SHOULD. -jkh-] This is more a joke than anything else: A digi-sound player for your HP48sx. I guess there's no real purpose for it, cause the quality is so poor. Since only one-bit-sampling could be used, the signal to noise ratio is <= 6 dB. I've written an IFF-Sound to HP48-Sound converter for the Amiga - please contact me if you are interested. 3 files are included: PLAYS, PLAYF and SAMPLE PLAYS and PLAYF both play a sound-sample in level 1, such as SAMPLE is. PLAYF disables screen-display, and is slightly faster therefore. Due to its high redundancy, SAMPLE has been packed using the Redundance Fighter V 1.20. Please make sure that the unpack routine ("RFU") is available when you recall SAMPLE. The Redundance Fighter has been posted to this Area once before - it is available at the hp-mail-server@seq.uncwil.edu [Note: It's also available on Goodies Disk #5. -jkh-] Now listen your 48 speaking... ;-) Lutz Vieweg. *** EMail to: lv@muffel.hotb.sub.org *** *** FidoNet : 2:247/30.20 ***
