Yet another tool: TSEND & TSERVE IR-Data-Transfer at 4800bps Did you never feel a little bit bored when you sent files to another 48sx via the IR-Port? The reason for the slow speed is simple: HP has limited the IR-Transfer rate to 2400bps, no matter what settings were made in the SETUP. Now, this program enables you to send and receive files using the ordinary KERMIT protocol, but at 4800bps. Why not 9600bps you ask? The interrupt routine, that handles the serial input is just to slow to manage 9600bps IR input. I am going to write a ZModem protocol driver for the 48sx, and maybe this one will do 9600bps IR transfer. But I am lacking a detailed desciption of the ZModem protocol, and I am not a C-programmer at all - only assembler sources or simple descriptions may be valuable to me. Let's get into terms: TSEND behaves like SEND, but it requires a List of global names as argument, and transmittes via 4800bps IR only. The SETUP is ignored. TSERVE behaves like SERVER, but it uses 4800bps-IR-Transfer without respect to the SETUP cu, Lutz Vieweg. PS: Please do not send an answer to the adress given in the From: field above.
