Columns II will work only on the HP48G/GX machine. It will not crash your HP48S/SX, however. The library will attach correctly, then if you try to run the game on your S/SX, you will see the message "HP48gx uniquement !!" Also, it doesn't seem to run from port 2 in a GX. I had 50+ Kb free RAM, yet I get the message "Insufficient Memory" when run from port 2. Running it from port 1 (with the same amount of RAM free) gives no error. Just when you thought COLUMNS I was good... This game is entirely in gray-scale, not just the intro. Very nicely done! This is a translation of the information first shown when you run COLUMNS II: ON: Exit + and - Contrast... All other keys to play. YX and SPARTACUS present: COLUMNS II The first game written especially for the HP48GX. During the game, the keys are: 2: Right 8: Left 4: drop faster 5: Rotate 6: Go to next level DROP : Quit EEX : Turn off the HP The principle of play is still the same: If at least 3 pieces of the same type are aligned in a line, a column, or diagonal, the program will eliminate them. You lose when there is no possible way to make new pieces fall. You go up a level every 1000 points. Have fun!! You can contact us on JEF, the super-server for the HP48 47-95-28-10, BALS YX and SPARTACUS for all remarks and questions.
