This file will cover some frequently asked questions about ANSI Publisher.

How do I purchase ANSI Publisher?

   ANSI Publisher is $29.95 + $3.00 shipping and handling. (WI residents
   please add 5.5% sales tax -- $1.65)

How do I get Technical Support?

   If you experience any problems running the program, or have any questions
   regarding ANSI Publisher, our technical support staff will be able to
   help.

   E-Mail is the preferred method of technical support. However, you may call
   (608) 687-8146 for voice support.

   Please make sure to write down any error messages that may have appeared
   on the screen. It will also help to have a print out of the XTRACE.TXT
   file, if it is generated.

Will ANSI Publisher work with my BBS?

   If your BBS supports ANSI text files (all should) then you can use ANSI
   Publisher. ANSI Publisher also has direct support for Wildcat! and PC
   Board BBSs.

What is the minimum computer requirements in order to run ANSI Publisher?

   In order to run ANSI Publisher, you need the following minimum system
   requirements:

   * 386 DX CPU (or higher) IBM compatible PC
   * 1 megabytes of free hard drive space
   * Color monitor
   * 640K of conventional memory
   * Microsoft Compatible Mouse - not needed, but will make program easier
                                  to use

   ANSI Publisher has a very efficient Memory Management System. So the more
   memory you have, the better the program will perform.

Can I run ANSI Publisher in other Operating Systems such as WIN95 or OS/2?

   Yes, ANSI Publisher runs perfectly in the above mentioned Operating
   Systems. To be safe, run a Command Prompt, then start AP.

How do I submit ideas for future version of ANSI Publisher?

   Any ideas for improvements are always welcome. Please send comments or

   You can obtain the latest demo of ANSI Publisher by calling the Innovative
   Software Creations BBS at (608) 687-4207. The current version is 2.1.

Can I use ANSI Publisher to Draw My BBS Menus?

   ANSI Publisher was originally designed as a word processor that could be
   use to create long ANSI documents the you would put on your BBS. These
   documents could be: help screens, signon screens, bulletins, etc.

   However, you can also use it to make your BBS screen. By using the box
   drawing tools along with the line drawing features, you can quickly
   make a BBS menu for your BBS.

   The limits are only your imagination.

Can I use Large Fonts within ANSI Publisher?

   Yes. You can draw them yourself using the customer character draw or
   character fill after marking a block.

   You can also use the program "TheDraw". With TheDraw, type your
   characters on the screen using the desired font. Mark the entire screen
   from row 1, column 1 to Row 25, column 80. Save this marked area as a
   "bsave".  Make sure you put a ".PIC" extension.

   Fonts are planned for the next version of ANSI Publisher.

Can I change the blinking rate of the blinking text?

   No, unfortunately blink text blinks at the same rate.
