In the past you had to go to a bank, tell them your financial woes and let them produce a table of payment possibilities. With AMORT you just enter the loan data (you may have to call the bank to get current percentage rates) and the payment information will be yours. ^C^SAMORT^S After pressing a key to close the ABOUT box you are placed in the Enter Loan Data section. Each item must be filled in for AMORT to generate a payment schedule. ^SData Entry Screen^S ^BLoan Amount:^B Enter the amount of money you wish to borrow. This program limits that amount to between 100.00 and 9999999.99. AMORT will only accept digits and a decimal place, commas and dollar signs are not valid input. ^BPercentage Rate:^B Enter the interest rate the bank charges for your loan. For example, 13.5% would be entered as 13.5. ^BNumber of payments per year:^B Enter the number of payments you have to make each year. This value defaults to 12--one payment per month. ^BNumber of years:^B Enter the number of years the loan will be for. ^BF1^B: Bring up more detailed help. ^BESC^B: Exit the program. ^C^SAMORT at work^S When you are satisfied that the information about your loan is correct press ^BF10^B and AMORT will amortize your loan and present you with a payment schedule.
