Also a major improvement is the option to use PKZIPFIX on corrupted files. And as you may have noticed the group has changed... Notices: úÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄú (C)opyright 1994 Humanoid / DEEP This Program Is Public Domain, which means you can freely distribute it as you wish. Alltough If you like this little utility you could send us some cash =). Atleast let us know if you use this program. It will encourage us to develop it further. Usage: úÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄú This utility is handy for sysops and others who need to delete old packages to save space. It can be used to check files within ZIP:s for date limits and it deletes the ZIP:s which are older than the set date limit. Requirements: úÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄú This utility should work on any machine. The only thing it requires is PKZIP. PKZIP must be placed in the path or be in the current directory or found in the path set by the parameter /PZ If you want to use PKZIPFIX then it too should be in your path or in the path specified by the parameter /PF Parameters: úÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄú There are no required parameters. The program defaults to checking all ZIP files in the current directory and accepting only those newer than 7 days ago from today. You can give the program as many wildcards as you want. And you can change the day-ago limit if you want too. example: ZIPDEL DEEP*.ZIP 3 *.ZI1 : check files DEEP*.ZIP and *.ZI1 and the limit is 3 days Other parameters are: -?, /? : A help screen -O, /O : Search the oldest file from the ZIP instead of the newest and check the date against that -D[N,O,E]{Y,N,A}, /D[N,O,E]{Y,N,A} : Delete files that are [N]ewer than, [O]lder than, have [E]rrors in checking {Y}es, {N}o, {A}sk Y/N The default is delete files older without asking and leave others alone -Z{Y,N,A}, /Z{Y,N,A} : This option specifies if ZIPDEL should start PKZIPFIX to fix corrupted ZIP-files for testing. {Y}es, {N}o, {A}sk Y/N The default is yes. -I[wildcard], /I[wildcard] : When Checking in ZIP for dates include only these files in the check (useful if you for example want to just test the file_id.diz for its date) -X[wildcard], /X[wildcard] : When Checking in ZIP for dates exclude these files from the check -P[Z,F][path], /P[Z,F][path] : /PZ is the path to PKZIP if it isn't in your system path. If you want to use PKZIPFIX and don't have it in your path then you must specify its path with the /PF parameter. -F[Z,S][DD-MM-YY], /F[Z,S][DD-MM-YY] : The date format. FZ should be the date format of the ZIP file and FS is the format in which the date is shown on the screen. the format is altered by puttinh the DD,MM and YY in order. the char between the DD,MM,YY is the separator char shown on screen for example /FZMM-DD-YY : in the ZIPfile listing the month is first then the day second and year last. the separator char is '-' /FSDD.MM.YY : the date is shown on the screen as date first, month second and year last. the separator char is '.' The default ZIP file format is MM-DD-YY and the default screen format is DD.MM.YY -S[char], /S[char] : Date separator char. Any char of your chosing to be placed between the date gaps. For example: if the char is '/' then the date would be shown as 01/01/01 or if the char is '.' then it would be 01.01.01 The default separator char is '.' -L[filename], /L[filename] : If you want the files to disappear from your BBS-filelists too you must provide the name of the filelist in this para- meter. Currently only supports PCB-filelists (and anything compatible) -B[path], /B[path] : If you want your file-lists backed up before changing then you must set the path where you want the backups to go here. For example: -Bc:\pcb\backup will put the backups to drive c:, directory pcb\backup. (The Filelist-changer should be bug-free but this option is provided just in case) Future Versions: úÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄú The future versions will add support for ARJ and LHA packets and maybe some others. There may be some cosmetic changes and maybe some added parameters. If you have anything you would like to have in this program then contact us and well see what we can do. Also we would appreciate if you told us if you find any more bugs. And maybe well add some other bbs-filelist formats... Notice: úÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄú Do NOT distribute this packet if the following files are not in the packet: ZIPDEL.DOC (The file you're reading right now) DEEP.COM (Information ANSI about Deep) ZIPDEL.EXE (The ZIPDEL executable) FILE_ID.DIZ (Description for BBSes) If you are a shareware dealer or something like that, and you would like to have our products in your collection, you must contact us first before you put it in your collections.
