INSTALL DOCUMENTATION FOR EXECUTIVE HOST 3.5 If you are presently running Executive Host 1.7 or greater and merely want to upgrade to 3.5: 1. Follow the instructions in the README.1ST file. If you are an existing user but want to run a second node either as a local node for your use or as a second modem line 1. Copy to a new subdirectory the following files from your existing TELIX subdirectory. Make sure that you are within the license agreement by running multiple copies of software. TELIX.EXE TELIX.FON TELIX.CNF ANSI.KEY DIR.DAT CONF.DAT BULLETIN.DAT NEWUSER.DAT RINGBACK.DAT CALLBACK.DAT CONFMENU. CONFMENU.G LOGON.BAT LOGOFF.BAT Plus copy any special registration 'key' files. 2. Run XINSTALL to install Executive Host into this new directory. 3 If you are running QDOOR or UTI drivers, each node will have to have its own XHOST variable set. The best place to set this is probably in the BOARD.BAT. (The install will do this) For all sysops. If you choose to have your MAIN DIR something different than the TELIX subdirectory, the following files MUST be located in this new subdirectory: MESSAGE.TXT MESSAGE.DAT EXECMAIL.DAT MESSAGE.NDX CALLERS.DAT EXECHOST.USR SECURITY.DAT QDOOR.DAT A caution when setting up door .BAT files etc. each node will create its own DOOR.SYS and DORINFO1.DEF. You might want to consider the new SUNRISE offering that will monitor and return a message to your caller for those doors that can not be run multi-node. If you run any echomail, I suggest that both/all nodes be down during the import of messages into the message bases
