P.PPE - Replacement for PCBoard's Page Length (P) command, Written by Jesse Keene Digital Nebula BBS [408]469-3604 Introduction: I downloaded a PPE that worked very similar to this one from Salt Air, the author wanted an outragous registration fee (couple dollars, you could pay by CC) and declared it shareware, with an annoying "unregistered" message; I immediately tossed it and wrote my own, instead... this is a simple PPE that I wrote in a matter of minutes, It's freeware, just a text file, do anything you want with it! It's all yours, just for downloading it! ;-) Description of Program: This PPE replaces PCBoard's Page Length (P) command, which by default looks like this: Page Length is currently set to 23 Enter new length (0)=continuous, (Enter)=no change? (23) Instead of just prompting the user for the page length, this PPE will print out numbers in descending order (99-10) then prompt them for the page length, whatever # is on the top line of the screen is the page length - if the user has ANSI, it will print an arrow on the top line pointing out the number; this makes it idiot proof. If the user enters their page length on the command line (ie, "p 23") this PPE will set the users page length to that number (same way the default command works) Installation: 1 - Unzip this archive into it's own directory (ie C:\PCB\PPE\P) 2 - Go into PCBSetup | File Locations | Configuration Files 3 - Edit the CMD.LST file and add this PPE to it, it should look like this: Charges Per PPE/MNU File Specification -or- Command Sec Minute Use Keystroke Substitution ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ ÍÍÍ ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ ÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ 1) P 0 0 0 C:\PCB\PPE\P\P.PPE -- Thats it! Now the PPE is installed, enjoy ...
