                       PCBoard v15.3 is Shipping!
 
This exciting new release includes all features of PCBoard v15.23 and
adds new functionality to several key areas of PCBoard.  The upgrade
will be available to all PCBoard sysops with current PCBoard Download
Access.
 
     PCBoard
     =======
 
     +    A new PCBoard display macro has been added, to display the
          assigned Internet address of the current node.
          
     +    Users can now choose to view single line file descriptions when
          accessing the PCBoard file system.
 
     +    When reading messages online, the system will beep when a
          message addressed to the user is displayed.
 
     +    A new online sysop function has been added, allowing the sysop
          to easily view the contents of a directory.
 
     +    PCBSetup has been modified to include an on-screen display of
          the PCB= environment variable overrides for Node and Comm
          port settings, if they apply.
 
     +    PCBSetup supports a new name search capability, allowing you to
          jump directly to a conference by name rather than by number.
 
     +    PCBSetup now includes a Global Search & Replace option, making
          it easy for you to globally change drive assignments or
          directory names all at once.
 
     +    PCBoard verifies the existence of each file selected for
          download as they are flagged for download.  If the files
          reside on a hard disk or dedicated CD-ROM this verification
          is very quick, but can result in excessive delays if the
          files are stored on a CD-ROM changer.  A new file index
          option allows PCBoard to flag the file for download without
          verifying that it exists first.
 
     +    Some networks support a quicker, but proprietary, method of
          copying files from network drives to the local hard disk.
          The slow-drive copy routine now supports an option to shell
          out and run the specified program for copying files to the
          local hard disk before downloading.
 
     +    PCBoard will now automatically handle U/L and D/L byte totals
          exceeding 4Gig.
 
     +    Various other enhancements necessary for your PCBoard BBS to
          co-exist with a MetaWorlds server.  The combination of
          PCBoard v15.3, MetaWorlds and the PCBoard-MetaWorlds
          Interface Kit will allow you to operate your PCBoard BBS and
          your MetaWorlds system concurrently with both systems
          sharing the PCBoard message bases and file areas.  This means
          that you can install the new MetaWorlds system without taking
          your PCBoard BBS offline.  Your users can then logon to either
          system, making the transition to the new MetaWorlds system as
          easy as possible.
 
     PPLC
     ====
 
     +    The encryption routine has been modified (again) to make it
          more difficult for decompilers to recover your source code.
 
 
     UUCP
     ====
 
     +    If the name of a text file is specified in the alias.out list,
          outbound messages addressed to the specified alias will be
          sent to each email address found in the file.  This provides
          an easy way for you to send the same email message to many
          recipients and provides the foundation for  listserv
          activities.
 
     +    Prior versions of UUOUT automatically split file attachments
          into 45K segments.  With this release, you can now override
          this by specifying the maximum size yourself.
 
     +    Automatic decoding of MIME messages received via email.
 
     +    Built-in Support for Multiple file attachments
 
 
     FIDO
     ====
 
     +    PCBoard v15.3 includes all of the Fido enhancements listed
          in the PCBoard v15.23 description.
