MCE allows to load and execute multiple commands (including parameters), similar to 4DOS command line processing. This is more convenient than to issue a single command, wait for its execution, type the next command, wait, type, wait... Any internal DOS command and executables residing in the DOS command path can be launched right away from within MCE. The program is self-explanatory and most of its features are covered by its help screen; just type: MCE /? ? /H or h ÉÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍ» º º º Þ±ÛßÛßÜ Þ±Ûßßß Þ±Ûßßß Multiple Command Executor º º Þ±Û Û Û Þ±Û Þ±Ûßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßßß º º Þ±Û Û Û Þ±ÛÜÜÜ Þ±ÛÜÜÜ v1.0 by Josef Braun º º º º Usage: MCE [PL] ͼ [Enter] º º º º MCE allows to load and execute multiple commands º º including parameters. You don't need to give a path for commands, as long as they reside in the DOS command path. Either is an extension of the executable required: For instance LIST MCE.DOC will do. MCE is also handy for testing multiple commands and creating rudimentary batch files at the same. When typing lots of commands plus their parameters to MCE's prompt remember the útobatúTOBATú option. This executes given commands (Batch commands among them must be invoked by a preceding úCallú) and saves them into U-TEMP.BAT for later use or editing; this can save lots of retyping. Note: In case you want to keep the resulting batch file, rename U-TEMP.BAT to something else before restarting MCE, because the program will either delete or overwrite an existing U-TEMP.BAT in current directory. Not mentioned in above help info is the possibility to run MCE in conjunction with the piping symbol ú|ú from the command line. However, this is restricted to only two commands. Example: MCE | DIR /W | VER /R úEnterú brings up the MCE's prompt. Now hit only úEnterú to execute the double command. If you like the program and invoke it often you could consider to assign MCE permanently to a function key. For instance adding below line to your AUTOEXEC.BAT Echo [0;63;"MCE";13p would pop up the program every time, when úF5ú is pressed - provided MCE.COM resides in in your DOS path and an ANSI driver is loaded.
