Internal Setup for fast configuration. Important notes: þ The player will run with any graphics card. Installing a Vesa compliant driver (recommandable is version 2.0 with Linear FrameBuffer) will speed up the player and give it access to new graphics modes such as high resoluted Tunnel mode and Oscilloscopes. IF you load UniVbe of Scitech, Inc. you'll see in your Vesa list that there is no longer any hiresoluted textmode available. This is due to a bug (?) in Univbe which DISABLES all textmodes. I tried to reestablisch hitextmode through supporting two graphic chips directly: S3 and ET4000. If you have any other card, feel free to contact me so that I could add your graphics board to the direct textmode support. þ Soundblaster support is implemented and should work on most compatible cards. You can force SB with /c3 or otherwise it will be autodetected. It is important that your blaster/interwave/ultrasnd environment is set, otherwise you sound card won't be detected ! The autodetection process goes: * Interwave * UltraSound * Soundblaster *Mono *Pro *16 * No sound (Rulz!) * The diskwriter is optional Sound blaster AWE32 is supported through SB16. If you have other chips such as ESS/WSS, write to me ! If I get enough response, I will include drivers for them. Configuration file: XTC-PLAY.INI stores the whole configuration of XTC-PLAY.
