The following are CD-ROM installation procedures assuming you choose to use the CD-ROM interface on the sound card. Step 1 : Install CD-ROM drive according to manufacturer's procedures. a. Connect power cable to CD-ROM drive. b. Connect AT-Bus cable and audio cable between Sound card and CD-ROM drive. Step 2 : Install CD-ROM drivers which come with the drive. a. Install drivers that come with your CD-ROM drive by running the "install" or "setup" in the program disk. Make sure the device drivers are added to your "CONFIG.SYS" and "AUTOEXEC.BAT" files. Please refer User's Guide of Installation & Drivers for more details. Note: The name for CD-ROM drive varies with respect to makers. The path name may vary according to its installation Make sure you have RESET your computer after two files were altered. Step 3 : Choose the correct CD-ROM type in the installation program which comes with the sound card. a. Run Sound Card Installation program. b. Choose the correct CD-ROM drive maker. Step 4 : Windows users will have to add CD AUDIO driver in to Windows drivers list. (CD AUDIO driver is in the Windows SETUP diskettes.) a. Run Windows and open "Control Panel". b. Double click on "Drivers" and select "Add". c. Choose "[MCI] CD Audio" and click on OK button. d. Put in the correct disk when Windows instructs you to do so. e. Screen will show "One CD-ROM drive was detected. Installation is complete." *** If you use IDE CD-ROM drive, please follow the two steps below: Step 1 : During installation, Choose NONE as your CD-ROM type. Step 2 : Modify your CONFIG.SYS file by adding a parameter "/E2" at the end of the line "DEVICE=C:\MOZART\MZINIT.SYS ...."
