The Eliminator works with computer speeds from 4.77Mhz up to and including 50Mhz including today's screaming fast 486s. It lets users enjoy games and simulation programs that won't calibrate on fast computers using a standard game card. Plus, the Gravis Eliminator has two joystick ports, for double the fun. It's easy to isntall and infinitely adjustable to support more software than any other game card. The Gravis Eliminator Game Card comes in a standard ISA model for IBM and compatible computers, and an MCA model for Micro Channel Architecture computers. Most game cards are designed for slower CPU speeds, and fast CPUs wreck havoc on joystick calibration. These problems result in frustration and annoyance, often wrongly attributed to a faulty joystick. But the Gravis Eliminator is fully adjustable and designed to compensate for computers ranging from a trusty old XT to a state-of-the-art 50Mhz 486. It provides precise CPU speed compensation without affecting the speed and performance of games. It comes with an external speed compensation knob, allowing you to find an ideal setting for your particular machine, and to adjust it at any time with a simple twist of the dial - a much more civilized system than poking at dip switches or jumpers. The Eliminator has two game ports, eliminating the problems and expense of Y-cables. You can easily attach a second joystick for more complex control or a dual player game. For software that supports it, like flight simulation programs, a second analog device such as rudder pedals can be attached. The Gravis Eliminator comes with its own free utility software. GravUtil(tm) is a game card circuit detection program, designed to find devices that could be conflicting with your Eliminator game card. It is also a joystick testing and calibration program. And, because all work and no play makes everbody dull, we've included a free copy of the fast-action arcade game Commander Keen: Goodbye Galaxy.
