About Files to update
---------------------

 Below is a list of updated DLL (SNDBLST.DLL) for each Sound Blaster card.
  1) SB.300        - Sound Blaster 1.0 or 1.5
  2) SB2_0.300     - Sound Blaster 2.0
  3) SBPRO.300     - Sound Blaster Pro

 SBPMIX30.EXE - Stereo mixer that is supported by the new DLL for SB Pro.

Note : Users can either update the DLL by using INSTDLL.EXE or do their
       own copy and rename.

Using INSTDLL.EXE to update DLL
-------------------------------

INSTDLL.EXE can rename and install the selected DLL into Windows directory.

Assumptions - In the following procedure the DRIVE is assumed to be A.
              If you are using other drive, just change the drive letter
              accordingly.
            - The DLLs is in the same directory as INSTDLL.EXE.

 Procedure to Run INSTDLL.EXE
  1) Starts up Windows 3.0.
  2) Select the File menu of Windows Program Manager then select Run.
  3) Type A:INSTDLL.EXE in the Command Line, then
  4) Click the OK button.

 Procedure to update the DLL
  1) Choose the desired DLL (See "About Files to update" to confirm).
     note: you may also click the "Check DLL" button to find out which
           Sound Blaster card the selected DLL supports.
  2) Click the "Install DLL" button to update.

Manually copy and rename the DLL
--------------------------------

For example, if you have a Sound Blaster Pro, the new DLLs are in drive A,
and your SNDBLST.DLL is in C:\WINDOWS, then your DOS command will be:

    copy a:sbpro.300 c:\windows\sndblst.dll

For Sound Blaster Pro Owner
---------------------------

Please delete SBMIXER.EXE and use SBPMIX30.EXE from now onwards.

----------------------------

You should be using SBPRO.300 for application development.
