Ocober 1st, 1995 This is version 2.99 of AMIsetup. It is not a beta version, but neither it is version 3.0. Version 3.0 will include many more of the on-line reference explanations and probably some small bug fixes and enhancements. This version has a problem with OS/2: OS/2 denies access to the DPMI memory when the BIOS source is set to `Protected Mode'. To fix this problem, you can do the following: 1. If you have a 386 or 486 processor: Rename GETBIOS.EXE to GETBIOS.DOS. Copy the file GETOS2.486 to GETBIOS.EXE. 2. If you have a Pentium processor: Boot DOS, create a BIOS image using `Tools|Create BIOS image'. Next, set the BIOS source to the image file using `System|Options|BIOS source'. However, so many people were waiting for a new, WinBIOS compatible version of AMIsetup that I decided to release version 2.99 now.
