AWARD FLASH UTILITY - AWDFLASH.EXE USAGE: AWDFLASH.EXE is a utility DOS program for updating the system FLASH ROM BIOS from a distributed AWARD BIOS BINARY file. PROCEDURES: 1. Starts the COMPUTER in DOS without installing EMM386 or QEMM. 2. Please type "awdflash" and press the ENTER key to begin the updating process. 3. The program will ask you to key in the file name of the AWARD BIOS BINARY that you want to update. 4. At the bottom of the menu, you will be requested to answer: "Do You Want to Save BIOS (Y/N)?" 5. If you do not wish to save the old BIOS, Please type "N", and then press the ENTER key. If you want to save the old BIOS, Please respond "Y", and then press the ENTER key. Next, the program will prompt you to key in the file name to save. 6. Then you will be request to answer: "Are You Sure to Program?" 7. Answer "N" if you do not want to program, and then it will exit. Answer "Y" to continue. 8. Then you will be requested to answer: "Are You Sure to Program (Y/N)?" 9. Type "Y" to begin programming, and press the ENTER key. 10. When the programming is finished, the showing message will appear: "Please Power off or Reset System" 11. Please re-start your system. 12. When you power on the computer again, you will find your old BIOS has already been successfully updated. WARNING: Please note that Award Flash Utility cannot run under EMM386 or QEMM. Otherwise, when executing the command "awdflash", and error message will appear: "Error Message: Fail - Due to EMM386 or QEMM!"
