TITLE:           Converting FastFonts From WordPerfect 5.1 to 6.0
PRODUCT:         WordPerfect 6.0 for DOS


Problem
You used FastFonts in WordPerfect 5.1 and you want to be able to
use them in WordPerfect 6.0.


Concept
The FastFonts from WordPerfect 5.1 can be used in WordPerfect
6.0, but they need to be converted first.

You may have removed the FastFonts program after you installed
the fonts in WordPerfect 5.1.  You will need to reinstall the
fonts.  During the font installation, choose WordPerfect 5.1 as
the program type, then proceed with the steps listed below.

If you did not remove the FastFonts program, you can proceed with
the solution as outlined.


Solution
To convert the FastFonts,

1        At a DOS prompt, change to the directory where WordPerfect
         is installed.

2        Type fastfont at the DOS prompt and press Enter.

3        Choose Universal Type Installer.

4        Choose the format PS TYPE 1.  The WordPerfect Font Installer
         (WPFI) will support this format.

You will be asked for the application name.

5        Choose Other as the application type.  WordPerfect 6.0 for
         DOS will not display as one of the applications.

6        Enter PSFONTS when prompted for the directory of the
         newly-formatted files.  WPFI will look for Type 1 fonts in
         this directory.
