If you use expanded memory (EMS), configure your LAN card memory address and size not to conflict with EMS memory RAM at D000:0 for 64K (Addresses D000:0-DFFF:0). - IRQ's 3,4, and 5 Communication ports COM1, COM2, and COM3 often use these interrupts; please refer to system setup for use of these interrupts. **************************************** * Machine Specific Installation Notes * **************************************** - T1200 The T1200 interprets IRQ 9 as IRQ 2. To use IRQ3, you must disable the built-in modem in SETUP1. IRQ 5 is used by the hard disk drive (for models T1200H and T1200HB). I/O Address 2C0h is used by the real time clock (RTC). - T1600 RAM at C000:0 for 32K is used by display ROM (addresses C000:0-C7FF:0). - T3100e To use PA5467 with IRQ 3, the expansion slot must be set to `Toshiba Modem' mode, in the setup option of TEST3. In the other cases, the bus mode must be set to `Others' mode. - T3200 RAM at C000:0 for 32K is used by display ROM (addresses C000:0-C7FF:0). - T5100 RAM at C000:0 for 32K is used by display ROM (addresses C000:0-C7FF:0). - T5200 RAM at C000:0 for 32K is used by display ROM (addresses C000:0-C7FF:0). - T8500 RAM at C000:0 for 32K is used by display ROM (addresses C000:0-C7FF:0). To use IRQ level 3, the machine configuration must be changed by setting the DIP switches in the front panel. - Some Toshiba personal computers have two or more expansion slots (Toshiba-size and/or IBM XT/AT slot(s)). The following table identifies which card to use for each computer. +----------+---------+---------+---------+ | | PA5462U | PA5466U | PA5467U | | | PA5463U | | | +----------+---------+---------+---------+ | T1200 | Ok | | | | T1600 | Ok | | | | T3100 | Ok | | | | T3100/20 | Ok | | | | T3100e | Ok | Ok | Ok | | T3200 | | Ok | | | T5100 | Ok | | | | T5200 | Ok | Ok | Ok | | T8500 | Ok | Ok | Ok | +----------+---------+---------+---------+ In the T5200 and T8500, though the two types of LAN cards are applicable, Toshiba recommends using the PA5467U for the first LAN card. If you use the T8500 or T5200 as a NetWare server, and need more than one LAN card, you can use the PA5466U as the second LAN interface card. For more information about how to configure your ToshibaLAN card, please refer to the "ToshibaLAN Installation Manual" and the "ToshibaLAN Driver Installation Manual."
