In order for the BEN1PA to be recognized as a valid adapter, your laptop must have software drivers that are called 'Socket & Card Services'. These drivers must conform to the PCMCIA Specification version 2.01. Boca Research provides socket and card services to you on another diskette. Your laptop may already have socket and card services built in. If you are unsure, contact your laptop manufacturer. NOVELL Drivers -------------- Type in 'A:\INSTALL' or 'B:\INSTALL' depending on your system. Install will copy the NOVELL drivers to your hardisk. After installation, use the command 'LOADNET' to load the NOVELL drivers. Microsoft Windows for Workgroups 3.1 ------------------------------------ To install drivers for Windows for Workgroups 3.1, follow the instructions in the Microsoft Users Manual for adding new network drivers. This is done using the control panel; selecting 'network'; selecting 'adapters'; and selecting 'add'. Then select the option for 'unlisted or updated drivers'. Specify either the 'A' or 'B' drive, depending on which drive you have the BEN1PA driver disk inserted. Finally, choose directory WFW31 for Windows For Workgroups 3.1 drivers or directory WFW311 for Windows For Workgroups 3.11 drivers.
