This is like an unix utility 'su' for novell version 3.1 version 3.1 - added synchonization (while two users are using SU, the 2nd one waits for the first one to end, not to exit with error) - Files are deleted only when program starts and with /D option (not waiting after all for about 5 seconds) - solved problem with listing SECURITY EQUALS in SYSCON for users not SUPERVISOR equivalent version 2.0 - The 1st version had some bug, which causes to not work with VLM shell correctly. - Creates its own directory like Netware Queue does. - No other users can use it (In 1st version you needed to have su.exe and directory with sufficient rights and ...) version 1.0 - very first version Explanation: This utility allow you to change your rights to the rights of any user of your system. You don't need to type password if you are SUPERVISOR or eqivalent. Requires: - It works on NW2.x NW3.x and when user is in bindery emulation mode, it works also on NW4.x - SUPERVISOR to install it. Instalation: NEW - Log in as SUPERVISOR or eqivalent. - Put SU.EXE somewhere on your server, type SU /i This will create object in your bindery, and directory where it will store its files. (You should enter a valid netware directory like SYS:SYSTEM and it will create its subdirectory SYS:SYSTEM/queue_id.QDR) - To allow use this program run SU /AU UserName or SU /AG GroupName - type SU /? for more information UPGRADE - Uninstall old version ( SU /u ) - Install new verion ( SU /i ) Uninstalling: - It's simple, just type SU /u It will destroy our object from bindery. Important: While changing your rights program will create a file like print queue does. These files are overwriten by new ones with new start of the program, no deletition is necesery. But you can do this by SU /D. SUPERVISOR or eqivalent doesn't need password using SU. Others must enter password of user they want to change to.
