Operating System: DOS, Netware 3.x Keywords: SUPERVISOR PASSWORD LOCKOUT Long Description: SuperFix is a Netware Loadable Module (NLM) that will change the supervisor password on a Netware Server. The main purpose of this tool is to allow access to a server after the supervisor password has been lost or the account has been locked out (by node control or disabling the login) SuperFix will allow the change of the supervisor password, remove any login node restrictions, and reset the account login defaults for the SUPERVISOR account. As the supervisor account password is changed, each user on the server is notified of the action taken. SuperFix will not create a new supervisor account, nor will it correct problems with the bindery database. SuperFix requires Netware 3.11 and 3.12. Operating System: DOS, Netware 3.x Keywords: PASSWORD SECURITY AUDIT Long Description: Password Inspector is a utility designed to assist network administrators in keeping user accounts secure. When run by a Supervisor or equivalent, Password Inspector will test user passwords with a large dictionary of common words to see if the password can be found. If a password is found, the Supervisor will have the option of expiring the password, changing the password, or disabling the account. Password Inspector can also generate composite passwords by combining words in its' dictionary. The dictionary provided with Password Inspector contains thousands of words, however with the composite password option, several million words can easily be generated. Password Inspector must be run by a supervisor or equivalent on a file server. A user without supervisor access can not use this software. Features: * Check accounts for easily guessed passwords. * Generate passwords from multiple words in the dictionary. * Select user accounts for checking. * Add custom words to the dictionary. * Change or expire venerable passwords. * Check passwords before allowing the user to change their password. * Save or print a report of the password scan. If you shut a printer off, it will not be selected on start-up when a computer is rebooted. * Use with laptops. A local printer will always be selected on start-up, no matter where you plug your laptop in. * Notify the user which printer that they will be using.
