About a 30 percent speed improvement will result depending on hardware. After the new drivers are copied onto your GENSH and GENOS disks you should run the GENSH and GENOS programs to re-link the files. You should find a file AN216.COM also on the GENSH-2 disk. This is the pre-linked com file for the shell with all Novell changes as of the first of June, 1986. These shells will all run on any hardware setting (I/O address 300 thru 378 and interrupt 2 thru 5.) This utility will update the driver files on your copies of Advanced Netware version 2.0A. The changes should only be made to the copies of the master disks shipped with Netware. At any time you are asked to "Strike a key when ready" you may abort the process by typing Ctrl Break. No further disk writes will be done. ÿ
