PAUDIT.BAS v1.1 By Jeff Pilant on Dec 20, 1991 Synopsys: This program is designed to analyze the report generated by the SYS:\PUBLIC\PAUDIT command on the Novell 3.10a server. It took a report on my system from 800K+ to 3 pages when printed. Usage: Generate a report file by giving the command PAUDIT > PAUDIT.TXT followed by the execution of this program BASICA PAUDIT when done, exit basic by typing SYSTEM and the short report is in the file PAUDIT.RPT. Description of the Report: The report contains 5 sections. The first section is a list of all items that the basic program did not understand. (I.e. server time change, intruder lockout, etc.) The second section is a list of who used what for how much. For example, each user is listed alphabetic- ally, and for each user their login time on each card is listed in decending cumulitave time, with the card number listed also. The third section is a list of resource usage by user. This shows the connection minutes, number of server requests, number of bytes read & written, current disk usage, number of connections, and the charge. The fourth section is the same as the third, except that this is for print servers, and lacks disk usage and number of connections. The fifth section is a list of all cards seen. Description of the tested system: The system used is a Compaq 386/25e 8MB, 400MB disk, Thinwire Ethernet, Workstations all use either a 3c503 or a 3c505 card. One section is Thick Ethernet connected be a bridge. /jeff pilant@nadc.nadc.navy.mil
