Purpose: This patch addresses a problem found when a NetWare and a non-Netware device are on the same SCSI bus. This TSR is intended for use in the non-dedicated process of NetWare 286 v2.15c and v2.2 (5,10, 50, and 100 user versions). NSCSI.COM is a TSR that fixes a bug that results in the 25th line Broadcast message: "Fatal dir error on vol SYS:," and data corruption. This bug is a result of a conflict between non-Netware devices (such as a CDROM) and a NetWare drive when they are both on the same SCSI bus. This TSR NDSCSI.COM allows DOS and NetWare to access devices on the SCSI adapter. Installation: 1) Make a backup copy of the existing PS2SCSI.OBJ. 2) Copy the new PS2SCSI.OBJ driver over the existing file. 3) Run NETGEN (v2.15) or INSTALL (v2.2) to configure and link the PS2SCSI.OBJ. 4) While the server is up, run NDSCSI.COM at the DOS prompt. (NDSCSI may be invoked from the autoexec.bat.) ÿ
