ABSTRACT:

FNWCSS.EXE fixes a problem wherein if 3rd party security is being used and a
user hangs up after the 3rd party security validation and before completing the
connection, another user could get in through the same port without going
through the 3rd party security validation.  This is a Field Test File and has
not been thoroughly tested by Novell.

SYMPTOM:

If third party security is being used on a NetWare Connect Server and a user
hangs up after the third party security validation and before completing the
connection, another user could get in through the same port without going
through the third party security validation.  An example of 3rd party security
is a Defender Security Server.

SOLUTION: 

Apply FNWCSS.EXE per the instructions below.

Installation Instructions:

From the NetWare Connect Server Console
 [] Unload NWCCON if it is loaded.
 [] Type NWCSTOP.

 From a workstation
 [] Log into the NetWare Connect server as Admin or equivelant.
 [] Make a directory and "explode" FNWCSS.EXE into it.
 [] Rename F:\system\NWCSS.NLM to NWCSS.OLD.
 [] Rename F:\system\nls\4\NWCSS.MSG to NWCSS.OLD.
 [] Copy the NWCSS.NLM from FNWCSS.exe to the F:\system directory.
 [] Copy the NWCSS.MSG from FNWCSS.exe to the F:\system\nls\4 directory.

 Restart NetWare Connect by typing NWCSTART at the server console.
