ABSTRACT:

This file is the latest version of UIMPORT targeted for NetWare 4.02.  Users
particularly interested in this version are users that are having problems
creating home directories on certain file servers or that require other fixes
as defined in SYMPTOM section.  All users should be using this version of
UIMPORT.

SYMPTOM

User's cannot create home directories on certain servers.  Message displays
such as:

MESSAGE

     UIMPORT-4.x-302 <path> does not exist.

SYMPTOM

Problems when creating home directories during an update.

SYMPTOM

When copying the login script, the last line gets duplicated.

SOLUTION

Apply the UIM413.EXE file.

Installation Instructions:

*** WARNING ***
The SCHEMA.XLT included with this version is incompatible with other utilities
in NetWare 4.01.

1.  DO NOT REPLACE THE ORIGINAL SCHEMA.XLT FILE!

    Install this version of UIMPORT with all support files in its own
directory on the system and run it from there.  DO NOT REPLACE THE ORIGINAL
SCHEMA.XLT FILE.

2.  To correct the main problem of Home Directories not being created
reliably, make sure the parameter "maximum directory retries=10" is included
in the import control section of your .CTL file.  Default for the "maximum
directory retries" is 5.

    An example .CTL file has been included as an example of how to control
UIMPORT.

    Everything else should be self explanatory in the example, SETUP.CTL file.

Patch History:

Help screens usage and syntax are modified for clarity.

Solution Specifics:

The EMAIL ADDRESS control field is now available for NetWare 4.01
compatibility.
