READ ME FOR CHOP.EXE v1.00a The following files are included for this utility: CHOP EXE 18288 6-10-92 12:14p UNCHOP EXE 19434 6-10-92 12:18p CHOP DOC (this file) CHOP.EXE is a file chopping utility similar to the NBACKUP DOS command. CHOP.EXE will chop large files and write it to floppy disks. Then the file can be "un-chopped" to restore it back to one file. It could be used in conjunction with the HDUMP utility. For example, once the coredump was copied to the local drive, it could be directly written to floppy using chop.exe, or it could be copied to the network using IMGCOPY.NLM and then copied to floppy using CHOP.EXE. To invoke: At the DOS prompt type> chop where the first is the location and filename of the file to be chopped, and the second is the destination of the chopped file. To "unchop" or write the entire file from the diskettes, at the DOS prompt type> unchop where the first is the location and filename of the file to be unchopped, and the second is the destination of the entire image file. The second parameter is optional; the default destination for the file is the current directory in which the user resides. ***************************************************************************** DISCLAIMER Novell, Inc. makes no representations or warranties with respect to any NetWare software, and specifically disclaims any express or implied warranties of merchantability, title, or fitness for a particular purpose.
