This README file accompanies the 3C523 driver for NetWare 386 v3.0.


This new server driver is considered in beta form inasmuch as it has not
undergone a full suite of Novell LAN driver testing.  The workstation
drivers have been fully tested.  These drivers do not support the twisted
pair board (3C523-TP).

To install the 3C523 drivers:

1)      Copy the S3C523.OBJ and S3C523.LAN files to the SHGEN-1 diskette or
subdirectory.

2)      Run SHGEN and select 3Com 3C523 EtherLink/MC V2.30EC (881010) for
your workstation diskette.

3)      Copy 3C523.LAN to your NetWare system start-up area (SYS:SYSTEM
and/or DOS partition).

4)      Load the server driver as you normally would on your system.
