LEAP YEAR FIX

Revision 0 of the 2.1 SFT NetWare operating
system did not correctly account for the leap
year. As a result the day of the week is one day
late. The utility "LEAPFIX.EXE" will patch the
operating system to correct the day of the week.

The program may be run against the file
"NET$OS.EXE" in SYS:SYSTEM. Make sure that
"NET$OS.EXE" is flagged read/write before running
the program. The checksum will be adjusted to
compensate for the patch. It will then be
necessary to re-boot to load the modified
operating system.

This utility may also be run against the object
file(s) prior to linking. The object files are
"LEV2_1.OBJ", "LEV2-2.OBJ", "TTLEV2-1.OBJ" and
"TTLEV2-2.OBJ. To run against the object file
type "leapfix XXXX" where "XXXX" is the name of
the operating system object file. With 2.1 systems
shipped on 5.25" diskettes, it MAY be necessary to
run the program against both halves of the object
file as it is not easy to determine which half will
be patched. The program will indicate it could not
find the place to apply the patch. At this time,
the other half of the operating system object file
should have "LEAPFIX" run against it.
