     Installing EtherTeam 16i Monitor
     --------------------------------

     1) Insert the diskette into drive A.

     2) In the Windows Program Manager, choose Run 
        from the File menu.

     3) In the Command Line box, type A:\SETUP and 
        then choose the OK button.

     4) Follow the instructions on the screen.

     Setup creates a program group and icon for the EtherTeam Monitor.

     
     Two different monitors for two different environments
     -----------------------------------------------------

     EtherTeam 16i NetBIOS Monitor (ETHMON.EXE)
     runs on top of NetBIOS stack. It uses NetBIOS
     Adapter Status calls to gather information from nodes.
     Please note that counters shown are kept by the protocol
     stack, not eg the network adapter driver. The reliability
     of the counters depends on how well the protocol stack was
     implemented.

     EtherTeam 16i NetWare Monitor (ETHMONW.EXE)
     runs on top of IPX stack. It uses IPX configuration
     requests to get information from nodes.

     System requirements
     -------------------
     1) EtherTeam 16i NetBIOS Monitor

     You need a NetBIOS interface. The underlying protocol
     can be eg NetBEUI or TCP/IP.

     2) EtherTeam 16i NetWare Monitor

     Your system must run IPX/SPX with NetWare support for Windows.
     This monitor has been developed and tested using following
     versions (these are needed to run ETHMONW.EXE).

     IPX/SPX            3.1
     Shell              3.26
     NWWRKSTN.DLL       1.2.2
     NWCONN.DLL         1.2.2
     NWIPXSPX.DLL       1.3.0
     NWBIND.DLL         1.2.2

     If ETHMONW.EXE is run in a system with other versions,
     it may not work properly. The shell should not be older
     than version 3.26.

     The needed Windows software is eg provided through CompuServe. 
     WINUP6.ZIP/binary which was used during development of ETHMONW.EXE
     contains selected Windows client files from the NetWare Workstation 
     Kit for DOS/Windows v2.0.  This file includes the NetWare Driver 
     Set v2.0 for Windows 3.0 and 3.1 as well as various NetWare API 
     library DLLs.  Support for IPX/SPX under Windows 3.0 and 3.1 
     is included as well as VPICDA.386 for Windows 3.0 interrupt conflicts. 

     EtherTeam 16i NetWare Monitor shows a vast amount of counters
     on screen. A monitor with at least 800*600 resolution (Super VGA)
     is recommended.


     How to use EtherTeam 16i Monitor
     --------------------------------

     EtherTeam 16i Monitor's on-line help provides information
     how to configure and use the program. Use Help menu or
     F1 - key to invoke help system.
