This version has been tested by Western Digital. This version contains modifications for the WD83C690 Network Interface Controller. This version or later versions must be used with adapters which contain the WD83C690. It is recommended that the latest version of the driver be used in all applications. ** NOTE!! ** Use of adapters which contain the WD83C690 with previous versions of this driver may lead to data integrity problems. -- Version 3.00 (August 16, 1990) -- This driver has been qualified by Digital Equipment Corporation. This is the initial release of the DLL written based on DEC's OEM developer's kit for DLL developers including a library of routines designed to maintain compati- bility across releases of DECnet-DOS. The main advantage of this library is compatibility with the extended memory features of DECnet-DOS 3.0. This driver is only loosely based upon code from previous versions of DLL for the 8003/8013 LAN adapters, so fitness of a previous version of DLL for a particular purpose should not imply that this version will also be suitable.
