                          EtherDisk Diskette for the
                   EtherLink 16 and EtherLink 16 TP Adapters



The EtherDisk diskette provides you with the necessary software, utilities, 
and documentation to use 3Com's EtherLink 16 and EtherLink 16 TP adapters 
with various network operating systems (NOSs).  The diskette also includes the
diagnostic program and additional files containing user information.  The 
adapter guide comes packaged with the adapter and gives important information
on adapter installation and use.  The adapter guide must be used in 
conjunction with the EtherDisk diskette.


NOTE:  Unless otherwise indicated, the term "EtherLink 16 adapter" refers to
       both the EtherLink 16 (3C507) and the EtherLink 16 TP (3C507-TP) 
       adapters.


Before you update the network drivers, follow the procedures in your adapter
guide to:

     -  install your adapter
     -  run the diagnostic program
     -  connect to the network

To run the diagnostic program and to update the network drivers, use the Menu
Program on the EtherDisk diskette and do not write-protect the EtherDisk 
diskette.  To access the program, type MENU at the prompt.  Refer to the 
adapter guide or the release note for the EtherDisk diskette v2.0 for more 
information.   

Listed below are the files and directories contained on the EtherDisk         
diskette.  Files contained on the diskette and not listed below are for the 
Menu Program. 

NOTE:  The !TCM5070.CFG file listed below is a more complete version of the 
       EtherLink 16 EISA configuration file than the !ISA8C09.CFG version
       supplied by most PC manufacturers.  Update your current !ISA8C09.CFG 
       file with the !TCM5070.CFG file before running your EISA configuration 
       utility program.
