HHSCAND.TXT =========== Although the Windows software included with your ScanMan 256 scanner doesn't rely on the DOS ScanMan scanner driver (HHSCAND.SYS), we have included the latest version of DOS ScanMan scanner driver on the ScanMan Install Disk. You should install this DOS driver in case you have to use your ScanMan 256 scanner with a DOS application, you will need to copy the DOS scanner driver (HHSCAND.SYS) the root of your boot disk and add the following statement in your CONFIG.SYS file: DEVICE=C:\HHSCAND.SYS /A=aaa/I=ii/D=d Where: "C:\" is the drive and path name where HHSCAND.SYS is stored "aaa" is the address used by the scanner "ii" is the Interrupt Request number (IRQ) "d" is the DMA channel number. You should use the same values displayed in the ScanMan Hardware Setup dialog of the Windows ScanMan software (Choose Acquire in the File menu of FotoTouch then choose Options in the ScanMan Window, then choose Hardware Setup in the Options Dialog). For example, if you are using board address 280, IRQ 7, DMA 1 and HHSCAND.SYS is stored on the root directory of the C: drive, the line would look like: DEVICE=C:\HHSCAND.SYS /A=280 /I=7 /D=1
