CALCOMP 4.2 PROTECTED MODE ADI DRIVER The DGCALCMP.EXP file is a AutoDesk Device Interface (ADI) 4.2 protected mode driver. This version supports AutoCAD for DOS versions 11, 12, and 13. This disk also contains three files created for AutoCad for Windows: * DGCAL11.DLL - AutoCAD 11 for Windows ADI driver. * DGCALDMP.DLL - AutoCAD 12 for Windows ADI driver. ** DGCCWT.DLL - AutoCAD 12 for Windows WinTAB driver interface. * not used in conjuction with CalComp WinTAB driver. ** allows use of AutoCAD button assignments in Mole area in conjuction with CalComp WinTAB compatible driver. AutoCAD R13 for Windows will use the CalComp WinTAB driver, but does not require any additional drivers to allow the use of AutoCAD button assignments everywhere on the tablet. USING THE DIGITIZER WITH AUTOCAD FOR WINDOWS Be sure to Install the CalComp WinTAB and/or ADI drivers for Windows and then follow these steps: 1. Start Windows. 2. Start AutoCAD for Windows. 3. Enter CONFIGURATION. 4. Select "Configure Digitizer" (#4). * If using AutoCAD 11 or 12 for Windows without CalComp WinTAB driver 5. Select "CalComp Digitizer Series ADI 4.2 - by CalComp". 6. Select the model of your tablet, number of buttons, port, etc. 7. Answer "N" to the Mole mode question. 8. Exit and Save Configuration (returns you to drawing editor). ** If using AutoCAD 12 for Windows AND CalComp WinTAB driver 5. Select "WinTAB Compatible Digitizer - by CalComp". 6. Follow the normal Mole area configuration. 7. Exit and Save Configuration (returns you to drawing editor). ** If using AutoCAD 13 for Windows AND CalComp WinTAB driver 5. Select "WinTAB Compatible Digitizer - by AutoDesk". 6. Exit and Save Configuration (returns you to drawing editor). * MUST be using other mouse device for Windows mouse control. ** Tablet will control mouse in Windows also (function of WinTAB). USING THE ADI DRIVER WITH AUTOCAD FOR DOS Install CalComp's ADI driver for AutoCad for Dos. AutoCAD 12 or 13: 1. Start AutoCAD and enter the CONFIGURATION. 2. Choose "Configure Digitizer". 3. Select "CalComp Digitizer Series ADI 4.2 - by CalComp". 4. Answer the driver's questions about your digitizer model. 5. Exit and Save the Configuration (returns you to drawing editor). AutoCAD 11: 1. Add the line, SET DGPADI=C:\ACAD\DRV\DGCALCMP.EXP to your AUTOEXEC.BAT or ACAD.BAT file, assuming this is the actual location of the file. 2. Select "ADI P386 driver - by AutoDesk" from the Autocad Digitizer Configuration menu. 3. Answer the driver questions about your digitizer model. 4. Exit and Save the Configuration. 5. Enter the drawing editor by opening or creating a drawing.
