Include "Set Reserved Buffers Below 16Meg=-xx" as the first line in the STARTUP.NCF, where xx indicates the number of buffers to be reserved, ranging from 8 minimum to 200 maximum. Generally, each drive will require 20 buffers to be reserved. Example, to allocate buffers for 2 hard drives, include the following on the first line in the STARTUP.NCF. Set Reserved Buffers Below 16 Meg=40 2. Add "Set Auto Register Memory Above 16 Megabytes=Off" in the STARTUP.NCF after the Reserved Buffer statement. 3. Load U14_31X.DSK with /b at the console or include it in the STARTUP.NCF to specify access for more than 16MB. :LOAD U14_31X /b 4. Add "Register Memory ssssllll" in the AUTOEXEC.NCF after the lines for the file server name and the IPX internal NetWare number to add memory above 16MB, where "ssss" means start of memory and "llll" shows the length in hex values.
