QLogic Fast!SCSI IQ PCI Miniport Driver for Windows 95

* This release has been tested with Windows 95 Final Beta Release
  (Build 347).  Older versions of Windows 95 are not supported.

* To initially install Windows 95 on a SCSI disk attached to the QLogic
  Fast!SCSI IQ PCI adapter or to install Windows 95 from a CD-ROM player
  attached to the Fast!SCSI IQ PCI adapter:

    1. Install DOS/Windows onto system boot disk
    2. If installing from CD-ROM attached to QLogic adapter, install
       QLogic DOS CD-ROM driver and the MSCDEX.EXE driver
    3. Run the SETUP program to install Windows 95 using the DOS real
       mode drivers
    4. Edit CONFIG.SYS to remove all QLogic DOS drivers and edit
       AUTOEXEC.BAT to remove the MSCDEX.EXE driver
    5. Reboot system to remove DOS drivers

    NOTE: You MUST remove the real mode drivers and reboot system before
          installing the miniport driver

    6. From the Control Panel folder, open the "System" icon and select
       "Device Manager" page
    7. Listed under "Unknown hardware", select "PCI SCSI Bus Controller"
       and click on "Properties"
    8. Select the "Driver" page and click on "Change Driver"
    9. Select "SCSI controllers" and click on "OK"
   10. Insert the QLogic diskette and click on "Have Disk"
   11. Enter "A:\W95" for path to QLogic driver and click "OK"
   12. Select "QLogic Fast!SCSI IQ PCI Adapter" and click "OK"
   13. Click "OK" again to procede with installing miniport driver
   14. Shut down system and reboot


* To install the QLogic Fast!SCSI IQ PCI miniport driver on installed
  Windows 95 system:

    1. Shut down Windows 95 and install QLogic adapter
    2. During the reboot, the "New Hardware Found" window will pop up
       after detecting the "PCI SCSI Bus Controller"
    3. Insert the QLogic driver diskette and click on "Have Driver Disk"
    4. Enter "A:\W95" for the path to the driver and click on "OK" to
       install the QLogic miniport driver


* The QLogic Fast!SCSI IQ PCI miniport driver reads the onboard EEROM
  and supports all of the customized configuration parameters for the
  adapter and the attached SCSI devices.  Use the QLogic Fast!INSTALL
  program for changing these parameters.
