Re:  Mainboards that support LBA Translation (>528MB)    
        PTI1S506.ADD V1.30

This BETA PTI1S506.ADD is compatible with Mainboard CMOS Bios that support
LBA and CHS Drive translations.  Problems may occur using previous 
versions of the PROMISE Drivers with MB LBA Drive translation.  

NOTE: LBA/CHS drive translations work for FAT partitions over 528 MB
limitation.  HPFS partitions do not have such a limitation.  It is 
possible to use FAT partitions up to the first 528 MB and HPFS for 
the rest.

If you wish to use the MB BIOS drive translation, follow these steps:

For existing installation with LBA already enabled:
1) Backup your system
2) Enter the Promise CSU Setup with <F2>
3) Enter Setup configuration <F1>
4) Set Disk I/O Handler Setting to Normal (Mainboard Bios)
5) Boot the system normally
6) Copy PTI1s506.ADD v1.30 to the \OS2 directory
7) Remark out the IBM1s506.ADD and replace with the PROMISE Driver
        Load BASEDEV=PTI1S506.ADD        -->v1.30 into the CONFIG.SYS

For new LBA installation:
1)  Backup your system
2)  Enable LBA as per MB Mftr instructions
3)  Enter the Promise CSU Setup with <F2>
4)  Enter Setup configuration <F1>
5)  Set Disk I/O Handler Setting to Normal (Mainboard Bios)
6)  Recreate partitions
7)  Restore Backup
8)  Copy PTI1s506.ADD v1.30 to the \OS2 directory 
9)  Remark out the IBM1s506.ADD in the OS2 CONFIG.SYS 
10) Load BASEDEV=PTI1S506.ADD into the CONFIG.SYS


You may now enable the MB LBA/CHS drive translations supporting the
first two IDEs on the PROMISE controller (D0/D1).   This driver will
enable Multiple Mode It will continue to support the third and fourth 
IDE normally without translation (D2/D3).
