The drive returns a mixture of the two types of information back when executing the cd rom driver. The following is a statement of what is possible with the 4020I CD under Windows-NT. With 1.20 and older Microcode on the drive, The drive will not properly read any CD's With Microcode Version 1.25 the drive will read a standard Single session CD and will only read the last session of a multisession CD. Will write a CD using EZ-CD provided by HP. These are the only tests that have been done with the 1.25 Microcode. The fact that the Multisession CD's can not be read is still a problem when all sessions placed on the disk need to be available for reading. We have had reports that the newest Firmware 1.26 for the drive operates fine but that some software programs require a program called WNASPI32.DLL and ASPI32.SYS. WNASPI32.DLL should be in your WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory. ASPI32.SYS should be in your WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS directory. Please be advised that this is a program that should be provided by the vendor of the software, as it is not provided by Microsoft or us.
