M2949S/Q/R/E
Fujitsu offers high-capacity and high-speed, 3.5inch disk drives - the
9.1GB M2949. The M2949 incorporates Fujitsu-designed MR (magneto-resistive)
heads and utilize PR4ML read channel technology. The adoption of MR heads
and PR4ML technology realizes extremely high areal density near 800 M bits/square
inch.
Rotational speed of the M2949 is 7200 rpm, which realizes fast average
positioning time of 10 ms for read and a fast average latency time of 4.17
ms. Furthermore, the M2949 is guaranteed by Fujitsu's high reliability
standards.
With high capacity, high rotational speed and high reliability, the M2949
is well suited for networks, minicomputers, workstations, file servers
and multi- user applications, which require high performance and reliability.
