ASPICD.SYS is an ASPI compatible DOS CD-ROM driver for Always Technology SCSI
adapters.  ASPICD.SYS is a generic CD-ROM driver and should fully support all
SCSI-1 and SCSI-2 drives.  ASPICD.SYS has full support for Photo CD, multi 
session, CD audio, XA sound and multi-speed drives. 

This software is supplied for BETA test purposes only.  Always Technology is
not responsible for any system problems or incompatibilities that may arise
nor is Always responsible for the loss of any data.  This software may not be 
distributed and is the property of Always Technology and Shuttle Technology.

INSTALLATION

To install ASPICD.SYS, you must first install the ASPI manager for your SCSI
adapter (refer to your SCSI adapter's manual for installing the DOS ASPI
manager).

If not already done, install the CD-ROM drive (see adapter manual).


Add ASPICD.SYS to your CONFIG.SYS file as follows:

        DEVICE=d:\path\ASPICD.SYS

        where  d:\path\  is the drive and directory path where the ASPICD.SYS
driver is located.

NOTE: ASPICD.SYS will not load if it is located in the CONFIG.SYS file before
      the ASPI manager.


Add MSCDEX.EXE to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file as follows:

        d:\path\MSCDEX /D:ASPI_CD

        where  d:\path\  is the drive and directory path where MSCDEX.EXE is
located.  MSCDEX.EXE ships with MS DOS 6.x.  If you don't have DOS 6, you may 
download MSCDEX.ZIP from the Always Support BBS, at (818) 597-0275.
