OS/2 2.0 GA (CSD Level 02000 ONLY) Fix New BVHSVGA.DLL File (as supplied by Bernie Thompson, IBM Boca, May 1, 1992) FIX HISTORY: Problems with Western Digital PVGA1D based adapters: Will trap after install, the first time you boot. (BVSVHGA.DLL traps, and after install is the first time this is loaded). 4-21-92 /OS2/DLL/BVHSVGA.DLL size: 22448 bytes To fix for the install trap: After installation (disk 15), when OS/2 is going to fully boot for the first time, boot up with the Install disk and Disk 1 instead of off the hard drive. Then, hit (ESC) when the disk one prompts you to hit (ENTER) to continue. You will be dumped to a command line. Now copy over /OS2/DLL/BVHSVGA.DLL with this updated file. Reboot and you should be fine. [I have not tested this fix but believe it to work. Please forward any problems with this fix to me at Internet address sip1@ellis.uchicago.edu and I will forward them to IBM Boca. Report other problems, as always, directly to IBM. CSDs -- Corrective Service Diskettes -- will incorpor- ate this fix, but this file can serve as a temporary workaround. Timothy F. Sipples May 1, 1992.]
