How to run Windows 3.1 with the Rasterex Graphics board


Assumes Windows is already installed.

1.  Install TIGA V2.20 or higher.

	a.	Run setup from the TIGA disk.
		Accept the default values for the install.
		This will make a TIGA directory on your hard disk 
		and copy the files to your hard disk. It will also 
		modify your AUTOEXEC.BAT. It will add the line

		set TIGA=-mC:\TIGA -lC:\TIGA -i0x60

	b. 	Reboot your machine to make the changes in 
		AUTOEXEC.BAT take effect.

	c. 	Type SET at the DOS prompt and check to see that 
		TIGA has been set.
		If not edit your AUTOEXEC.BAT and move the set 
		TIGA line to the top of the file and try it again.

	d. 	Change to the TIGA directory and run TIGACD.

2.	Install windows with TIGA.

	a. 	Change to the Windows directory and run SETUP.

	b. 	When the configuration menu comes up move up to 
		display.

	c. 	Change the display to 	TIGA (Small fonts)
		or			TIGA (Large fonts)
	
	DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THE WINDOWS DRIVERS
	ON THE TIGA DISK. THESE ARE FOR USE WITH WINDOWS 3.0 ONLY.

	d. 	Setup may ask for additional disks. When completed 
		exit setup and then run Windows.

3. 	Running Windows.

	a.	TIGACD must be run before Windows. You can install 
		it in your AUTOEXEC.BAT or in a windows batch file.

	b.	TIGACD must be run from the TIGA directory in order 
		to work correctly.

	c.	To un-install TIGA change to the TIGA directory and
		type TIGACD -U.
