Bugs Report (A)System Settings Recommendations ---------------------------------- * An AT 486/33 computer * Minimum 4 MByte System RAM * Microsoft DOS v 5.0 or later (B) Hardware/Software Configuration ----------------------------------- This software release version is set up to use the following hardware configuration: Video Port Address 0700H Video Memory Window Address/ Eh Buffer Address Video Memory Window Size 32K Video Memory Initial State Enabled, Random Access Mode Hardware Interrupt IRQ 11H Tuner Port Address 02F0H Your computer system should be set up to allow these hardware settings to be used. If you used the upper memory area A000:0 to FFFF:F then you should make sure that there is no conflict with the video memory at that segment (from a network card, EMS card, or EMM386), and that there is no conflict with the hardware interrupt at IRQ 11H. (C) Installation ---------------- 1. Insert the Reveal TV300 Installation Disk 1 of 2 in floppy drive A: or B:. 2. From the Windows Program Manager, select the File menu and choose Run. When prompted, enter the following command line: A:\SETUP or B:\SETUP 3. The Setup program will prompt you for a directory where it will install its Windows applications. The default is C:\TV300. 4. The Setup program will copy the video drivers and applications to the hard disk. When this is done, it will create a program group for its applications, and will update SYSTEM.INI and WIN.INI. 5. The installation will prompt you for disk 2. Insert the Reveal TV300 Installation Disk 2 of 2 in floppy drive A: or B:. 7. The Setup program will copy the neccessary Video For Windows Runtime Libraries into the hard disk. With 16MB RAM & above ===================== 1. If you have more than 16MB on your motherboard. Please choose a value ( buffer address ) in the page addressing mode: A000:0 to F800:0. To change this, run the Address Setup Program. 2. To help you decide which buffer address in the range to choose, while you are in Windows, go to the program manager's file menu, select Run.... Type MSD in the Command Line. MSD is a Microsoft system Diagnostics Program and you can used this to help you select an unused memory location. 3. If EMM386 is loaded, please disable the EMM386 in the config.sys. If you need to have EMM386 loaded in your system for some reason, you could exclude the address area which you like to use as the buffer address for TV300. For example, to use buffer address D000, you could type the following in the Config.sys file: device=EMM386.exe noems X=D000-D7FF 4. Please make sure that your system SHADOW RAM setup is not enabled for the selected buffer address.
