MGA CAD & DOS Drivers, v1.63
                             December 16, 1994

This release contains the MGA CAD & DOS drivers, for all MGA graphic
controllers including the new Impression Plus and Lite. This release adds
support for the Impression Plus/AT. The following products are included:

   Utilities and Setup program
   AutoCAD DynaView Driver
   MicroStation 4.0/5.0 Driver

Windows 3.1 drivers and other Windows utilities are available through the MGA 
PowerDesk disks, version 2.10 or higher.

Windows NT and OS/2 PM drivers are available seperately.

Setup and Utilities:
--------------------

- Setup program v1.63

  Running the SETUP program to select a monitor is highly recommended,
  particularly if your monitor does not support all the resolutions that
  the board supports.
  Note that if you select a monitor through the new Windows Monitor
  Program included with PowerDesk 2.1, the selection is also valid for
  AutoCAD DOS driver, so the DOS Setup program does not need to be used.
  
  New monitors have been added to mga.mon.


- VESA driver v2.03

  Even though your board can support at least 1280 X 1024 resolution, the
  VESA driver is limited to 1024 X 768. See README.SET file for a complete
  list of VESA modes supported.

AutoCAD Driver v1.63:
---------------------

- More modes

  The mode selection mechanism has changed as of v1.50. It is now possible
  to have smooth animation in DynaView/2D even in 16 and 24 bit modes.

- DynaView/3D

  DynaView/3D is supported on the Impression family including the
  Impression Plus and Impression Lite. Support for the Lite is limited
  to wireframe during animation sequences.

- 3D Studio

  Autodesk supports the MGA in their 3D Studio 3.0 inline driver.
  This is an Autodesk driver and is is available from Autodesk on
  Compuserve and also in the 3D Studio box.

- AutoCAD for Windows:

  The AutoCAD for Windows driver is available on the PowerDesk disks. It
  accelerates AutoCAD for Windows Rel 12 by talking directly to the MGA
  hardware, and comes with a Bird's Eye / Spy Glass viewer callable
  from the Autodesk DSVIEWER command.

- DynaView/3D for Windows:

  This application (like AutoCAD for Windows) is available on the PowerDesk
  disks. It allows real-time manipulation of 3D models created under 
  AutoCAD for Windows. Note that if the current windows mode,as selected via
  the MGA control panel, is not a 3D mode then DynaView/3D will be limited
  wireframe.

MicroStation Driver v1.23:
--------------------------

- Dual-MGA support:

  The MGA MicroStation driver supports a configuration with two MGA boards.
  Any MGA models are supported.

  Note that if you use the MicroStation Windows Connection with a dual-MGA
  configuration, the Windows Connection driver must run on the MGA board
  which has its VGA enabled.

- 3D Acceleration:

  This version of the driver does not support 3D acceleration. This
  will be in the 2.0 driver.
