Copy all files from this directory to the root directory of a floppy disk. 2. Volume label should be "MTMCD_SETUP". (e.g. : label a:MTMCD_SETUP) 4. Instllation of "MITSUMI NT DRIVERS" ===================================== 4-1. Setup Windows-NT from MITSUMI CD-ROM ----------------------------------------- Preparation for Windows-NT setup -------------------------------- Before boot your computer, make sure the MITSUMI CD-ROM drive and I/F card are properly connected to your computer, and no other CD-ROM drive should be connected. Setup Windows-NT ---------------- 1. Insert the "Boot disk" for Windows-NT which is included with Windows-NT. 2. Boot your computer. 3. Press key to install Windows-NT. 4. Press key to Custom Setup. 5. After Windows-NT scans for SCSI adapters, the list will be empty. Press key to add the "MITSUMI CD-ROM DRIVER" support. 6. After the SCSI adapters list is appeared, select the last option "Other (Requires disk provided by a hardware manufacture)". 7. Remove the "Boot disk" for Windows-NT from Boot Drive of your computer. 8. Insert the "MITSUMI NT DRIVERS" diskette, then press key. The following screen will appear. Now you must make sure jumper switch of MITSUMI CD-ROM drive I/F card is correctly set. "MITSUMI CD-ROM Drive (I/O port address 300h)[default]" "MITSUMI CD-ROM Drive (I/O port address 310h)" "MITSUMI CD-ROM Drive (I/O port address 340h)" "MITSUMI CD-ROM Drive (I/O port address 360h)" "MITSUMI CD-ROM Drive (I/O port address 390h)" 9. Select appropriate I/O address, then press key. 10. After Setup has recognized the SCSI adapters in your computer, press key. 11. Follow the instructions on screen to complete Setup. 4-2. Install MITSUMI CD-ROM device driver after setup Windows-NT ---------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Boot your computer, and log on to Windows-NT system. 2. Insert the "MITSUMI NT DRIVERS" diskette. 3. You must run "SETUPB.EXE" in the "MITSUMI NT DRIVERS" diskette. 4. Select device driver's parameter and press on the "SETUP" button. 5. You will need to restart Windows-NT. 5. Change MITSUMI CD-ROM device driver's parameter ================================================== After installation of Mitsumi CD-ROM device driver is completed, you are able to change device driver's parameters. If you want to change its parameters, you must do the following operation. Now you must set proper jumper switch of I/F card. 1. Boot your computer, and log on to Windows-NT system. 2. You must run "SETUPB.EXE". 3. Select device driver's parameter and press on the "SETUP" button. 4. You will need to restart Windows-NT.
